Who Am I?
Hi, My name is Randheer, and I am co-founder of Bon Pizza (A pizza chain serving Wood Fired Pizza) and Food Kindle (India’s leading coaching platform for Food entrepreneurs).
After working for Corporate World for approx. 13 years, I started my venture in Food Industry and still operating since last 10 years.
So far, I have scaled from a street cart to Food business spread over 10 states and working under all formats (Kiosk, QSR, Food Truck, Food Court etc).
I launched my first restaurant in 2013 and it failed miserably. Well, I am not embarrassed to accept this now, because now I am seeing this business as a science. Not in 2013. Shweta (my wife) and I was too much emotionally attached with our restaurant. We cooked great food and got praises from our loyal customers. But we could not make the restaurant profitable and we had to shut down after a year.
We had no money, and we were failure in the eyes of society. So, out of desperation, we started our second venture (Bon Pizza) on streets. Then, we build it brick by crick, step by step. And it was successful. We could clear all our debts (including the losses from first restaurant in less than 3 years). We sold franchise in 10 different states of India. Today we work across all formats – Food Court, Cloud Kitchen, Food Truck, QSR model just to name a few.
We know how to run a business by simply following logical rules, how to grow the business (when sales are hard to come by), How to make it profitable and so on. And I have first-hand experience for all this. These are scars and wounds from the battleground itself. This is the source of my knowledge. My recommendations often look very simple (or more like common sense), but it works.
While my own business was growing, I also started helping other businessmen in achieving success. They became my clients later.
I had prior academic qualification and experience for that. By qualification, I am an ICWA, CFA and MBA (Finance) from IIFT Delhi. I have worked in companies like Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Unilever India, Tata Group etc. My overall Corporate Experience is 13+ years. I started my own venture after doing all this in life.
Partly, it was my prior qualification / experience and partly because what I was giving them practical advice, by client list started to grow. Then I launched “Food Kindle” to help out more and more Food Entrepreneurs in their quest for success.
